Maggie Flanigan and several local singers formed the Gospel Choraleers and performed throughout the state of Georgia. They could also be heard every Sunday morning on the Radio Station WAOK with the late Bro. Edmund Patterson.

Mrs. Flanigan was the minister of music for Whites Chapel United Methodist Church, Rock Temple AME, Peeks Chapel Baptist Church, James Paschal Baptist Church and many other churches in the metropolitan areas. She also taught piano and voice to many students. Some of her students that went on to sing, play or perform are: Barbara Davis Broughton, Diane Davis, Emma Brown, Tawana Brown Bolds, Marilyn Levett Brown, Veronica Jewell Camp, Phillip Columbus, Brinkley Flanigan, Carrie Ann Franklin, Hugh Hamm, Willie Hamm, Jr., Teresa Hamm-Smith, Donna Lett, Tim Presley, Cheryl Reid, Tina Stroud, and Sandra Henderson White.
Mrs. Flanigan passed away July 18, 2007.
